Know Them? Search On For Suspects In Stamford Liquor Store Burglary

Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying two men who allegedly broke into a liquor store and made off with liquor and cigarettes.

The incident took place in Stamford at Wagon Wheel Liquors on Long Ridge Road around 4:20 a.m., on Monday, May 29.

According to Stamford Police Sgt. Sean Scanlan, the two men broke the glass on the front door and made entry taking liquor and cigarettes. 

The loss of items and damage was over $5,000. A U-Haul truck was used during the crime and police are working with the company to track it down, Scanlan said.

The suspects had hoods and masks on.

 A similar burglary took place at the 66 Gas Station on Newfield Avenue on the morning of Thursday, May 25, Scanlan added.
